It is a cookie used to monitor your internet activity.

Often used with advertisement to find out what product you might be interested.

Although they are often harmless, it has the potential to be used as spyware.

Basically something that you get from visiting a dangerous website and it logs all of your personal data. Get rid of them.

It’s a program tracking your cookies.

Maybe a Mal-ware/Spyware Removing Program?

Or possible a Computer Optimizer Program?

If you have any program related to those it’s not a threat,

if not that I’d open the folder containing the tracking cookie,

and see where it’s located.

Any time you go on the internet you will pick up some cookies. There may be other useful cookies your anti virus did not consider a threat such as cookies used to keep your home page settings.

The best thing is to control what type of cookies your computer will accept because some cookies are a threat.

If you are using IE 8 go to Tools tab on your browser and select Internet Options.

Select the Privacy Tab. Adjust the slider to medium. The text will tell you what cookies are denied. Adjusting the level higher than medium might cause some web pages you use not to function correctly because not all cookies are bad. Select Apply then OK.

My anti virus also gets rid of them every time it runs a scan and although I do not consider them a threat it is a good practice to occasionally clear them out.
