You must mean the seasonal flu vaccine as this one is trivalent (3 strains). There are two A viruses and one B virus. They are easy to remember this year- H1N1 (Brisbane), H3N2 (Brisbane) and B(Brisbane). The H1N1 in the seasonal flu shot is not the same as the 2009 H1N1 strain in the monovalent 2009 H1N1 vaccine coming out in a few weeks, and offers no protection against the 2009 H1N1 flu.
