Format your hard drive. Its the best solution for virus’s. This is why macs are better. No virus’s!

well, you GOTTA download something… THIS FAKE virus took me 4 days to figure out HOW to get rid of it…. I was about to just reinstall the operating system altogether.

It is a rootkit and NO VIRUS or ANTI-MALWARE can remove it.

Except for this program called combofix that you can get at bleepingcomputer.com

It did wonders… now im clean.

you need ot find the program and it’s folder using taskmamanger or exploere. i doubt you can shut it donw w/o doing a restart in safe mode.

you remove the files/folders in safe mode, edit the registry to delete any refrences to those files, empty tem fiels and foldersa as well as turn off recovery (as nwere malware hide in these folders too) not to mention broswer temp folders too.

Get this straight. Yes you can remove it manually. HOWEVER, most likely, you will still have parts of it lying around. You might be able to disable it, but probably not completely. It might take a lot of time too. The best way would require downloading. I don’t know what exactly this rogue does, but if you can open task manager, right click on the rogue’s process, press open location, terminate the process, and delete the file.
