I have the latest uptodate Norton, and I am pretty 100% sure i have a virus. I run virus scan twice and it cant find anything. What should I do?

Sometimes the viruses are smart enough to outsmart your antivirus. The first thing that I would do is use Malwarebytes. It isn’t really an “antivirus,” more like “antimalware” which means that it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of an antivirus (like Norton) but it’s good at detecting viruses. You can get it here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php (click on the free version)

If Malwarebytes doesn’t help, then tell me some characteristics of the virus. And one last thing- If the virus tries to get you to buy anything, don’t! Many viruses act like they’re “anitivirus” software and that if you pay for a full version you can get rid of “viruses” on your computer.

They only run manually and will not interfere with your existing antivirus.

These two apps will remove the virus (if they find one) without paying for removal.
