Main issue basically by A1: Does Norton Anti virus create viruses when the expiration date comes?
Or is it a coincidence? This is the third time it has happen. The expiration date comes, and all of a sudden I have a virus. I find out by using other anti-spyware. So all three times, the “renew norton antivirus” comes up, and I do not renew it, I coincidentally get a virus. And it can’t be that viruses are out to get me, and once Norton wears away, they come in. I have other paid antiviruses.
lol this was just a funny conspiracy not serious
That is certainly about Does Norton Anti virus create viruses when the expiration date comes? that you’ll really should clear up conditions on his or her. Hopefully this element helps in several ways… and produce yourself better. Needing about Does Norton Anti virus create viruses when the expiration date comes? can certainly be a resolution going forward.

norton will sense that your betrayed them by not renewing your subsciption with them and attack you, dam commies!!
Answer by zero
no it doesn’t it just keeps remindin you that you subcription is up and offers for you to renew, its not a trojan virus. so if you decide not to stick with Norton just go to your Computer settings as your administrator and delete the program from your computer

nahh. just redownload it but i don’t think it is it. and the renew thing happens in most of them… oh.. maybe.. my dad had this one case where he had to renew some kinda key thing and this annoying thing kept poping up every ten minutes. after a while the background disappeared and he lost his beloved picture of him and a car. lol.
but another person says “Get rid of them both! They’re the biggest scams of the past 10 years! They create their own viruses! get avast!” from mcaffe and norton. but in my case i love mcaffee. its kept my computer safe. and another person says “No…Norton is bloated and slows computers down.”

It does not create the virus. The virus is probably lurking around and pounces at the opportunity to infect your computer when it becomes vulnerable. The point of antivrus is to PREVENT viruses. They can’t always get rid of them (ie. a rootkit and some trojans) and they sometimes require professional removal. That’s why you should get an anti virus that you don’t have to constantly renew and buy to keep your computer protected. AVG or trendmicro are good ones.

No it doesn’t. Maybe your other anti-viruses are conflicting, you are only supposed to have one. You can have as many anti-malware that you like, but only one AV, one AM, and one firewall running at one time.

we got free norton when we got our computer and we didnt have any problems. when it expired we couldnt afford to get it for about a month and we still didnt get any viruses. We ended up buying the year subscription, and as soon as we did, like within a week we had packed generic 200 and sometype of trojan on our computer. my husband says the browsers messed up. so the next time we’re going with something else.

Can’t – I have Norton 360 expired, and no viruses. Check your websites that you visit. Usually from the web. Download SiteAdvisor free at http://www.siteadvisor.com – also try getting rid of some temporary files. Free software for that is at http://www.ccleaner.com
If you don’t trust Norton, get rid of it by doing this:
Open up start, and choose “Control Panel”. Then click on Uninstall a Program under Programs. Then scroll down to “Norton”, and click on that. There you go.

think about it.your protection expired and you blame norton?get real dude.whatever people think of norton a company like that would be in big trouble if they were pumping out viruses.the reason you got infected is because you let your protection expire.
Answer by chau_m@sbcglobal.net
No, nortorn does not create viruses.
When your subscription is almost up or up, it will remind you in a quiet way, or an annoying way. Most anti-viruses do that, they also offer you discounts to lure you to renewing your subscriptions.

that’s the worst system u can use! my computer is all virus because of that! even when u use it, it causes viruses! it wont even let me go on myspace!
Answer by Mr. Crowley
Um… no. I’ve been in the computer security industry for over a decade and can say the legit AV companies (Symantec, ESET, McAfee, Kaspersky, Bitdefender, etc) DO NOT create malware. Malware is created in Eastern Europe & Asia, where the laws aren’t enforced.
If Norton is allowed to expire, you will not get updates. If you don’t have updates, the program WILL NOT detect new malware, so you will get a virus eventually. I always tell my clients to update AT LEAST twice daily and check for patches (browser, operating system, etc) daily.
Fully grasp far better?
