i dont feel the need to spend money on anything, considering the fact that im just a kid, (well not a kid, but teen) and dont have a job, so can i just do a system recovery to remove the “Personal Antivirus” software?

Try running scans with the following programs. They are all free and can be downloaded from download.com


1) Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

2) SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition

3) Avira AntiVir Personal

Probably not. Use the MalwareBytes scanner, almost guaranteed to fix it. www.malwarebytes.org

Please follow my instructions to uninstall the program:

Paste the following string to Windows Explorer address bar and execute it (Press Enter key):

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Uninstall\PersonalAV\Uninstall.lnk


After that our product will be removed.Sometimes it takes more than one try to remove the product due to temporary technical difficulties, so please try to do it several times.


After that run a fully up to date Malwarebytes as suggested earlier

Yes and no. System restore (I assume that’s what you mean) might take care of the problem for a while, but in the long run it’s bound to resurface, because the cause of it was never removed. Read more here:
