my computer has alot of viruses n sometimes “antivirus” download to my computer without my permission n i hve to earse my account n make a new one

is AVG Free Antivirus good?? does it really work? will it make my computer slow?

AVG is good. It will not make your computer slow.

I would Download AVG

and

Malware Bytes ( this is really good) I have it and it wipes out the Malware

these dont cause you computer to run slow.

AVG doesn’t makes your computer slow though its not even worth having it on your system. It wont be able to remove most of the harmful trojans, detect some not so common keyloggers and its firewall sucks big time as well.

Better go for malwarebytes if in case you’re looking for a free AV and for the firewall go with comodo internet security and you’ll be alright.

The new one (9.0) came out. It has speed, but..not exactly the “etiquette.” CNET reviewed it and found that it DOES get the job done, but its detection rate isn’t as good as others.

CNET gave an editor’s choice though, to Avira. (Different free antivirus) They reviewed it saying that it had a higher detection rate and a more function-able real time protection:

Right now AVG Free is better.

Right now the newest version of AVG is 9.0, I don’t know how fast it runs, though.

However, one antivirus software alone (even with spyware protection) will not fully protect you from internet threats.

It is best to use a combination of security software.

Apart from antivirus, you need an antispyware, although some antivirus software has already included spyware detection and removal, it cannot completely detect everything.

You need at least one standalone antispyware program, a Host Intrusion prevention program, and a browser protection utility (even if you are using internet explorer 8).

Consider using Microsoft Security Essentials if you wish, apart from signature based detection, it has a feature called ‘dynamic signature service’, if it detects a file that is not in its database, it will ask you to send a sample to Microsoft to analyse it, and it is free forever, fully functional.
