Uncertainty made by yummygummycrap: “Choose the program to open this file with”?

I had a virus but I removed it. Now I can’t open any programs such as the Internet or any video games because this thing pops up saying “Choose the program to open this file with”.(I’m on a different computer, that’s why I’m on yahoo asking this) I’ve spent hours looking for solutions but nothing worked. I literally can’t open anything. I’m probably just going to buy a new motherboard. I have Windows XP and the virus was called “XP 2012 antivirus”.

dude it has got nothing to do with your motherboard..just reinstall ur operating system.problem solved

I’d try to re-install your operating system. If that doesn’t work/you can’t figure out how to do that, call someone to come fix your computer. There should be numbers in a phone book or online.

This is known virus that infects the hard drive. It is not motherboard related. Please see my response to a similar question. If RKill does not work use TDSKiller at the link below.
