Topic created by Desimotto: How can you prevent PUTLOCKER from restarting your computer with thier restart virus?
Only when I am watching a putlocker movie does my computer automatically restart so I know it’s that dirtbag.
This is really focused on How can you prevent PUTLOCKER from restarting your computer with thier restart virus? which you can would be smart to fix complications theirselves. With some luck , you will find in lots of ways… that will create the way you live much better. Praying focused on How can you prevent PUTLOCKER from restarting your computer with thier restart virus? tend to be a strategy down the line. Best solution:
Answer by Frank Garrett Well, if your computer has been infected with a virus, then the virus is in your computer. I’ve never heard of a bug that causes an auto restart though.
If you have anti virus software installed on your comp, then run a full scan.
I recommend that you get a free registry fix program. There are several on cnet.com.
If I were you, I’d get “Advanced System Care Free Edition” from cnet.com, and run all the checks and fixes you can with it.
I’ve been going to putlocker for a long time, and never had that happen. Make sure you’ve allowed your computer all the recent updates. Google “Microsoft Update”, and let it check your computer.
If you have an older computer, that could also be the problem, it could just be crashing because of the amount of memory you use when a video is playing. Advanced System Care has an option to “optimize” your computer in one click.
You probably already know this, but you might also try going to Start> Accessories> System Tools> and then use both the disk cleanup, and disk defragment options.
Again though, if it’s a “virus” as you put it, then the virus is no longer just on putlocker, it’s also in your computer. Viruses come from the web, and infect peoples computers. They don’t leave the computer until you use antivirus software to remove them. There’s lots of free antivirus software out there that’s just as good if not better than the ones that cost money.
If it’s just a “bug” in putlocker’s website, then cleaning your registry with ASC and updating your computer should fix the problem.
Do know much better?

Quandary courtesy of john: How do I solve redirect problem on my search engines?
Whenever I do a yahoo search, When i click on one of my search results it always redirects me to some other search engine instead of going to my link. How do I get rid of this. Malwarebytes doesnt get rid of it.
This will be information on How do I solve redirect problem on my search engines? that you may aspire to resolve troubles theirselves. With a little luck this element helps in lots of ways… and help your own life greater. Who want information on How do I solve redirect problem on my search engines? may possibly be a strategy someday. Best solution:
Answer by David Vandertramp You have a virus. This virus is known as the “Search Redirect Virus” and manipulates search results to redirect you from genuine links to advertisements and other irrelevant websites.
Malwarebytes cannot detect, and therefore remove, this virus because it infects computers in a totally unique way. The virus infects a few system files and changes the way the operating system uses the internet via the web browser. Conventional anti virus are not designed to deal with this kind of infection, they are only designed to detect malicious software running.
The virus works by altering a few settings in this system file. Since Google always takes you to another Google website before taking you onward to your actual link, this middle step can be intercepted by the virus. It takes advantage of this small flaw to redirect you. It can be extremely irritating as it only occurs sporadically.
In my experience of this virus, the only way to remove it is to manually remove it with the help of a program called ComboFix. This program finds the corrupt system file and restores it back to it’s original state. You can find ComboFix, with an excellent tutorial, here:

Answer by jon sometimes if you create a new folder and you set that folder in a application then it wont go away. i will give you an example. i create a new folder in my documents and put my fav mp3 tracks in there. i then goto windows media player settings and put that folder as a default so windows picks it up easier so i can burn to cd. when cd done, i have finished with that folder and delete it in my documents. later that folder has come back and keeps coming back until you stop using that folder as a default folder like i did in windows. i hope this helps
Answer by thedeath Download and install a good antivirus software.
Boot your computer in safe-mode. To do this press F8 key repeatedly when you start your computer. A screen will display several options to go into. Choose Safe mode.
When in safe mode scan your computer with the antivirus.
Safe-mode does not load all drivers etc. onto the system when loaded. Hence there is a high chance that you are able to perform scans, uninstalls properly if having problems in normal windows.
Answer by VIKD I suggest that you try to carryout system restore to a day previous to the day when there was no virus or any problems. It may be a few weeks or months back. You have to decide the date. Detailed instructions are posted at http://fixit.in/systemrestore.html
The problem is likely to be solved. Then,You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at
http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html

Real question written by Koondogg: Everytime i start up my computer it says “Windows Explorer has stopped working” can someone help?
I turned off my computer one day and when i turned it back on the next it said “windows explorer has stopped working” i went online to check it out and i have not seen any working answers. i heard Regcure could fix it so i bought it and it didnt do anything. I was wondering if anyone out there could help me. any help would be greatly appreciated!

Answer by mylovekate03 u need new computer hard drive is gone
Answer by Brett C Regcure is a virus. But if you are getting this error try running a virus scan anyway because sounds like you’ve caught something.
Answer by amxla It can be a prank program or some worm. If windows explorer really stopped working, you wont see any icons on your desktop, nor the Start Menu.
Answer by Not Of This World – N.O.T.W - if you’re using Vista most likely you will have this problem over n over
Answer by Paradox What you’ll need to do is install an anti-virus and anti-malware.
Get the following:
Malwarebytes
avast!
Install those two, update them, and set them to full run. Avast has a slew of awesome scanners at its disposal (Most of them are active-shields), and the best part is they’re both free.
If your computer can start up all the way, install and run them both… it should take care of the problem entirely.
Most of the time things claiming to help that pop up seemingly at the best possible (When things mess up) are 100% of the time trojans // worms // spammers. When you download them and install them they will claim to find an astronomical amount of viruses and tell you to buy the product claiming that it works. If you do, you should probably change your credit-card number because it’s more likely a phisher (A phisher is someone who steals credit card information then goes on a spending spree, or he’ll sell the credit card information to someone who then spends like crazy). So install the anti-virus, and run it… and if you seriously install and paid for one of the fake “You have 50 virus” ad’s, I would honestly change your credit card number.
Hopefully this answers your question!
Cheers.

Predicament written by Shizu-chan:
My laptop, for the past few weeks, has been randomly shutting itself down for no apparent reason. I know it’s not overheating, and it happens when I don’t use it for a certain length of time. I’ve checked my battery every time I’ve left, and I always have plenty. In addition, I don’t have any programs running that would drain my battery. I’ve gotten the blue screen of death a few times, and sometimes a little gray box will show up when I try to turn it on saying that my computer didn’t turn on properly or something, and that it’s “attempting repairs.” It’s really starting to piss me off, and I can’t do anything about it because I have no idea what’s going on.
Also, I’ve run all the scans I can think of. My anti-virus, my Viper Internet Security thing, etc. and whatever “virus” that they’ve found, it gets rid of them and they’re no longer there. I’ve had my laptop for a little under a year, and it’s never done this before. Does anyone know what I can do? Would running a defrag help anything? Do I need to download some sort of special program to make this stop? Or would it just be easier to get a new laptop instead of dealing with this crap? Thanks for any help you can give!

Answer by Psychic Computer Repair® PEBKAC? And there are no diseases in the world so why have doctors and hospitals and vaccinations.

And there are no thieves either so why have banks to lock up your money, just have it all in your pockets and no need for policemen because nobody robs or steals.
And locks, no need for them. Just leave your house, car whatever unlocked. Nothing will happen to your laptop, or money or jewelry.
All that stuff on the Internet about Virus, and spyware and Malware is a bunch of hooey. No need to protect against any of it. Until it hits YOU.
Answer by murderspoon There are viruses out there and antivirus software is pretty much a necessity, but id guess that most, less computer literate people dont really understand that so many programs they install automatically start background processes on startup that will reduce performance considerably when built up (like itunes sets something like ituneshelper.exe to run on startup). And then theres the people that use really old, outdated computers but expect them to manage with programs/workloads made for the newer, more powerful pcs. Since they dont know about these the only cause they can think of is a virus.
Answer by Ray M You are right of course, not everything is a virus however to say that viruses don’t exist. I think you being a bit naive. It is alright until you have one and when you switch on your screen and nothing appears because your hard drive got “shredded” you buy all the anti virus software in the world.
Answer by Jack Di I think it’s because it is the best scapegoat!
Wether it’s a virus or now, if a computer operator does not want to work on it, just say… i got a virus problem!

Predicament created by Tarik M: What is one problem scientists have when fighting viruses?
Ok I have this question in my book and it says”What is one problem scientists have when fighting viruses” can someone please help me?
This is now concerning What is one problem scientists have when fighting viruses? which you might be compelled to clear up issues ourselves. Perhaps this helps in several ways, creating your own life considerably better. Who want concerning What is one problem scientists have when fighting viruses? happens to be a simple solution over time. Most practical answer:
Answer by reubinism It depends on which virus you are talking about. Firstly, no antibiotics work on virus because the antibiotics are used to destroy the cyst of a bacteria because virus virus makes no cyst of the same substance for killer t-cells to attack. Next, is virus such as the retro virus like HIV the medecines mostly kill the normal cells also. And every time the WBC make an anti bod for such a virus the virus changes its protein structure and mutates and goes slealth again. in the mean time the virus attacks the WBC production site in the bone marrow and reduces the WBC drastically and the person dies due to lack of protection for the infectious microbes in the air.
Answer by Asst Prof Because viruses do not respond to generally accepted antibiotic treatments.
