Answer by Dakine858 The easiest way to remove Personal Antivirus is to download, install and run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. It’s 100% free and will automatically detect and remove the Personal Antivirus software from your computer.

Answer by Astaroth First thing you need to do is kill the process:
1)hit ctrl+alt+del and select the process tab
2)look for any processes called personalAV, PersonalAntivirus or PAV
3)kill those processes by clicking on them and clicking “End Process”
4)Warning may come up saying that this can make your computer unstable, you can ok this
Next delete the files
1)Browse to your “program files” directory. You are looking for a sub directory called personalAV, PersonalAntivirus or PAV.
2)Delete this subdirectory by clicking on it and pressing the delete key on the keyboard
3)If it asks for confirmation, then confirm it.
Next clean the registry (here be dragons, getting this wrong will royally f##k your computer so be careful)
1)start|run and enter “regedit” and select “ok”
2)press ctrl+F and enter “personalav”
3)delete any entry relating to “personav” press F3 to search for the next one
4) do the same searching for “personal antivirus”
Now, install spybot S&D available from http://www.safer-networking.org/en/home/… and run a scan. Make sure your virus definitions are up to date. If you don’t have antivirus, then get some. I use the free AVG from http://free.avg.com. Some people will say that AVG is no good, but it works for me.
